Blumarine SS27 is California Dreaming

Blumarine has entered its West Coast era. For SS27, David Koma sends the Blumarine girl to California—somewhere between Malibu surf culture, ’70s bohemia and a very Y2K idea of being hot. She’s sun-kissed, slightly chaotic and definitely not interested in minimalism.

Sheer lace, tiny camisoles and second-skin jersey meet surfer jackets, swimwear cutouts and faded florals. Then come the crystals, feathers and butterfly details, because this is Blumarine and subtlety was never really the point. Even UGG clogs get involved, dressed up in crystals and feathers like they’ve just left the beach and somehow ended up at an afterparty.

It’s romantic without being too sweet, sexy without trying too hard and nostalgic without feeling like a costume. Basically: messy beach hair, something sheer, too much jewellery and nowhere important to be.

Blumarine summer has officially begun.
