FENDI SS25 – A hundred years of savoir-faire!

Milan Fashion Week kicked off with a bang! The show, held in a luminous, uncluttered box, took a contemporary look at the era that saw the birth of Fendi. This is not to be nostalgic or backward-looking. Since the 1920s was a time of incredible modernity, which in many ways is still the order of the day. And this visionary impulse serves as the foundation for an anniversary collection that subtly looks to the past—and it’s absolutely amazing!

Volumes are all about finding that perfect balance between enhancing and supporting the body. The dresses are sleek and stylish, with a gorgeous focus on the hips. While there are a few details here and there, such as the ornamental lines of the first two silhouettes or their bangs, the stigmata of the era become increasingly diffuse evocations, which is really exciting!

It’s so inspiring to see a new gentleness towards women in this era! It’s a delicate harmony that celebrates the beauty of women’s movements. The color palette is a gorgeous pastel, trimmed with light sky blue or pale tea rose—a subtle yet stunning color that seems to have been soothed by the years. The embroidery is exquisite, with sheer silks and organzas scattered with a finesse that can only be associated with handwork. As always with Fendi, whose specialty is leatherwork, this know-how is accompanied by a variety of soft suede and supple Cuoio Romano leather—a combination that is simply irresistible! And it just keeps going! The softness extends all the way to the end of the arms, which are loaded with bags like the Mamma Baguette model. It’s the softest it’s ever been! Let’s take a detour to the 1920s and enjoy the benefits of softness!
