Here’s to Ottoman Punk, Milan, and Les Benjamins! What a rave their autumn/winter 16 collection presented. Bunyamin Aydin presented his collection for Les Benjamins at the Via Clerici a few days ago, where leather, sportswear and graphic tees ruled, whilst Jean-Michel Basquiat, Grace Jones and Salvador Dali stood out as faces for the brands designs. The final catch was a spectacle – the ultimate show – of Sufi whirling dancers….fresh from Istanbul. To see a Turkish brand within this setting is to say the least that they are crossing oceans and stepping up their creative game to be enjoyed by the likes of Derek Blasberg and Anna Dello Russo. So where to from here? The brand will be following all this up with a big party at Silencio in Paris during the men’s fashion week. Cheers Les Bejamins!
