Saint Laurent Women’s Summer 25; Office Core, Bella & Jardin Majorelle

Designer Anthony Vaccarello’s latest womenswear collection was nothing short of spectacular! From sublime suits to full-on fête attire, it was a showstopper from start to finish.

Saint Laurent’s Spring 2025 women’s show showed us how to dress for success. Under the warm glow of a tall golden oculus in the French fashion house’s historic courtyard, models, including Bella Hadid (who made a long-awaited return to the runway this evening), showed off designer Anthony Vaccarello’s androgynous suits and eclectic eveningwear on a blue oval runway—a nod to Yves Saint Laurent’s famous Marrakesh gardens.

Vaccarello’s formalwear was the epitome of sleek sophistication, exuding a strictly business vibe. It was clear that his eyes were fixed on empowering YSL’s clientele with some incredible pieces, including oversized outerwear, razor-sharp lapels, shiny leather belts, and fine ties. The boardroom fits were masculine in form, but they looked even more strong on the feminine body—and they looked incredible! There was a sense of restraint within Vaccarello’s suits, shirts, and ties that was indicative of his newfound desire for order, and it was that rigidity that made you take the clothing that much more seriously—and that’s a good thing!

There was a fantastic selection of YSL eveningwear that perfectly balanced out the more casual office attire. The pieces were a bit more chaotic, but in a good way! Those included shimmering cropped coats with subtle floral patterns, skin-tight dresses with lace details, ruffled skirts, and dramatic tops with flowering necklines, all in kaleidoscopic colors—a truly magnificent display! The designer’s muse is a hard worker and has fun while she’s at it!

“No other House is as linked to a quintessential female archetype as Saint Laurent, whose ideal woman is more complex than the seductive perfection of classic muses,” read the collection notes. “The Saint Laurent woman loves to indulge in darker penchants, an attraction to danger and pleasure she proudly owns in her modern agency.” With a bird’s eye on this collection, Vaccarello’s Saint Laurent woman is fiercely independent—and absolutely gorgeous!
