This season, Bellotti loosened the grip on Jil Sander’s famously precise minimalism. Deliberate wrinkles, puckered tailoring and fluid volumes brought a lived-in tension to otherwise rigorous silhouettes, replacing pristine perfection with something more instinctive and human.

Fabrics appeared crumpled, surfaces shifted and proportions felt subtly off-kilter, as though the clothes had already developed a life of their own. Yet beneath the disruption, the house’s signature restraint remained intact. Nothing felt accidental; imperfection itself became part of the design language.

The result was minimalism with its edges undone—quiet, intelligent and unexpectedly sensual. For SS27, Jil Sander suggests that luxury doesn’t always need to look flawless. Sometimes, the wrinkle is the point.
