High tension, gritty textures, the power of self confidence are met in a trashy yet sleek world. Glen Martens delivers another collection showcasing how moments are made, in the Diesel world.

We’re in a venue where physical faces look at digital ones, cement blocks and cold walls with only one thing under the light: the runway. Diesel knows how to be the center of attention, even when there are thousands in a room. Being fearless and comfortable in your own skin is how we define coolness, Glen seems to take this very seriously.

“Online meeting” was a strong theme throughout the whole show mixing real and digital in a unique way. The walls were covered with faces and so were some of the garments. Undoubtedly the most connecting part of the show was the 2 day livestream which showed the preparation of the show very effortlessly.

At the very start of the show, we are at a low tempo. A narrator calls out the models with a robotic voice with little emotion, almost feels like a dystopian sci-fi. The tension however keeps on building and building until we reach a high energy, dynamic show like we’re used to. The element of surprise gives its role to suspense which is uniquely harmonious with the show.

First thing that catches the eye are 3D textures of fur which flow elegantly in this gritty universe. High volume high velocity coats that give integrity. The movement of the garments are very well thought out in the show. Glen Martens curated a collection to move alongside of your body movements, each step has power attached to them. This is not a collection to blend in, it is one to stand out!

Standing out is a trait fit for icons. Spotted, in the middle of the crowd we find Ed Westwick. Diesel surely recognize this iconic aura. In many occasions we see the unforgetable “Chuck Bass” name pop up on the digital screens.

Glittery jeans, thick rugged denim, puffy and trashy jackets are very present as a signature of Glen. These pieces are created in a way to pay homage to the house’s original roots. Most of the looks are elevated with touches of leather adding an element of edge to the looks.

Blue, orange, gray and pink are strongly present. These colors mixed with the earthy tones of accessories and bags resulting in a tasty, very easy to absorb palette. Cat eye lenses, vibrant eye makeup adding an edge to the looks that felt very Diesel.
