ETRO FW24 – Combination of history and layering… The ultra luxury ‘archaeologist’

Marco De Vincenzo goes back to Etro’s roots, accompanied by ancient textures, and everywhere he sees, there is something of his own.

Italian fashion house Etro presents its fall/winter collection of chic looks and an elegant aura. Carefully embroidered silks, thick and assertive cashmere wool, unwashed denim give a soft yet grounded feel. All this fine craftsmanship echoes of the past, we are in a magical place.

Slow and steady flowing house music, we are on a linear podium. Leaving aside the gigantic mythological figures positioned in the center of the stage, there is only one element we keep our eyes on: The collection. Brown and green, our favorite colors of autumn, are the protagonists of this collection.

We see the limitless contrast of this palette on leather bags, dresses and glamorous jackets. Soft and dark tones blend into a deep composition that we can dive into as we look at it. With the addition of unwashed denim to this composition, we see a collection that depicts autumn.

Shaved furs are embroidered on the frames of the dresses, giving the pieces a glamorous feel. Oversized wastes, which we are used to seeing in European brands for a few collections, are also in the lens of Etro. Perfect for a cozy look in the cold.

An elegant presentation delivered with a clear flow, no games! It’s clear that the brand’s creative director Marco De Vincenzo’s humble yet confident demeanor is at the heart of this setup.
