This week’s Digital Stage features one of Shakespeare’s romantic comedies, “Twelfth Night.” With the adaptation of the director İbrahim Çiçek who is one of the bravest people of the theatre world, Digital Stage combines sequences of the theater’s cult works with visual storytelling, bringing them to the digital world and providing a modern interpretation of classic works. Twelfth Night, which will be staged this week, stars Ceren Moray and Merve Dizdar.
I think it’s very innovative, and on the other hand, I believe that the fear of theatre becoming irrelevant is exaggerated, because it’s obvious that the theater, the theater stage, will not end as long humanity lives on. So, experiencing this and having fun is very interesting. I enjoy experiencing it all together.
Ceren Moray
Shakespeare’s comedic work that vulgarizes and makes fun of the weaknesses of people of all sexes, “Twelfth Night” is presenting the audience a brand new meaning. While Ceren Moray shares her positive approach to this new theater experience, she prefers to underline that the sanctity of acting will never be lost. Merve Dizdar is here with her openness to change and all her excitement!
Twelfth Night is a Shakespearean comedy that, in theory, describes love and goes to the creation of a difficult-to-get-out absurd situation aimed at destroying the usual social classifications of men and women. In this play, where we will witness the destruction of the differences between men and women, we will see the questioning of the concept of behavior accompanied by strong criticism of society. With the wonderful acting of Ceren Moray and Merve Dizdar, we will have the opportunity to internalize the thought-provoking mood that the destruction of social roles evokes in us and deepen our personal questioning with a bold adaptation and scenography.
I’ve never had a season without a play, so I’ve always had an interactive connection with the audience. Of course, this has a special place, but the idea of a digital theater also excites me a lot. I think it will also be very fun, as I am always open to change.

Emphasizing that we should not believe everything we see and know, “Twelfth Night” is available on the Zorlu PSM Youtube channel.
