Forest of Light
COS yıllardır Japon Mimar Sou Fujimoto’nun eserlerinden ilham almayı sürdürüyor ve Sou Fujimoto imzalı yeni bir enstalasyonla Salone del Mobile fuarında bu sezon da yer alıyor.
COS continues to be inspired by Japanese Architect Sou Fujimoto’s works for years and with a new installation with Fujimoto’s signature, it is once again a part of Salone del Mobile fair this season.
COS’un İlkbahar/Yaz 2016 koleksiyonundan ilham alan ‘Forest of Light’ (Işık Ormanı), etkileşim ve perspektif fikirlerini keşfe çıkan bir yerleştirme. Karanlık ortam ziyaretçilerin hareketlerine tepki verecek şekilde tasarlanan dev ışık konileriyle aydınlatılıyor. Özel olarak bestelenen sesler, hafif bir sis ve aynalı duvarlar sonsuz bir manzaranın içinde bulunulduğunu hissettirirken konik ışıklar devinen bir ışık ormanındaki soyut ağaçlar haline geliyor.
Forest Life, influenced by COS’ Spring/Summer 2016 Collection, is an installation which explores the ideas of interaction and perspective. A dark space lit by huge light cones is designed to respond to the movements of visitors. Sounds specifically composed for this space, a bit of smoke and walls with mirrors make one feel as if they are in a landscape, and the conic lights turn into abstract trees in a forest of light.
Yerleştirme, Milano’nun San Babila bölgesinde 1930’larda İtalyan mimar Mario Cereghini tarafından inşa edilen Cinema Arti’de bulunuyor. Eskinin tiyatrosu, şimdinin metruk binası, Sou Fujimoto’nun tasarımının başlıca özelliklerine ilham verirken yerleştirme için geniş bir fon yaratıyor.
The installation is located in the San Babilo region of Milano, at Cinema Arti which was built by Italian architect Mario Cereghini around the 1930s. Once a theatre, the abandoned building creates a wide background and inspires Sou Fojimoto for the main features of his design.
12 – 17 Nisan tarihleri arasında sergilenecek COS ve Sou Fujimoto ortak çalışması, COS’un Salone Del Mobile kapsamında gerçekleştirdiği beşinci yerleştirme olurken, markanın Serpentine Galerileri, Frieze Sanat Fuarları ve Donald Judd Vakfı gibi dünyaca ünlü sanat kuruluşlarıyla sanat ve tasarım işbirliklerini ileriye taşıyor.
The exhibition will take place between April 12-17, marking the fifth installation COS has done in Salone Del Mobile by their collaboration with Sou Fujimoto. It also takes its art and design collaborations one step further by adding on to previous projects with institutions such as the brand’s Serpentine Galleries, Frieze Art Fairs and Donald Judd Foundation.
